Jack’s African~Goat ™ Baby Seal Substitute

A rare find from the Jack Mickievicz fly-tying collection. These are original packages of African~Goat™, developed as a natural substitute for baby seal and intended for tying trout, salmon, and steelhead flies.

African goat has a wonderfully long, fine, slightly unruly fiber that gives dubbed bodies the movement and buggy appearance traditional tiers look for in seal-style dubbing. It can be dubbed tight or picked out for a more translucent, lively profile.

These are vintage, new-old-stock packages in their original Jack’s packaging, complete with the original labels and prices. The material has been stored for many years, so packaging may show minor signs of age.
